Care and Maintenance

America’s #1 Motorized Insect and Solar Protection Systems!

Restoring the Crossbar

Whether late for an appointment, (or a tee time) chances are you will knock the screen out of its track at least once.

Our products are designed to be released from the track should they be accidentally bumped into your car, golf cart, etc. If this should occur, stop immediately, and pull your vehicle away from the screen. Inspect both the track and screen. If there is no visible damage, it should roll up and back down (repairing itself). If it will not roll up, call your SKEET'R BEAT'R Authorized Dealer to repair or replace damaged components and reinstall the screen in the track

Congratulations on Your Purchase of America’s #1 Motorized Insect and Solar Protection System!

After installation, you will receive a blue warranty registration card to be filled out by the dealer or yourself. It is important for this card to be returned to Screen America Corporation so that your unit’s information can be recorded and registered in our database.

Our standard warranty includes seven years on all electronic components including the motor, and a limited lifetime warranty detailed on the warranty card.

Cleaning the Screen, Housing & Vinyl Components

To extend the life of your system, we recommend using a mild dish detergent mixed with water every 3-6 months (depending on your location) for cleaning your screen, housing, & vinyl components. Apply the solution using a soft-bristled brush and then spray the screen (DO NOT SPRAY INSIDE THE MOTOR OR HOUSING UNIT) with a hose until no suds remain. Let the screen dry completely before rolling it up to help prevent mold and mildew. Automotive wax can also be used on the exterior surfaces of the aluminum housing.

“Armor All” or a similar product can be applied to the vinyl portions of the track assembly and/or the vinyl vee-seal to help keep them from drying out, prolonging their functionality. Contact your Screen America Certified Dealer to see if they offer a maintenance program that suits your needs.

Lubricating the Tracks

We recommend using a non-petroleum-based silicone to lubricate the track assembly.

With the screen up, spray the section of track that the screen is retained in. Roll the screen down, then spray the edge of the screen where it contacts the track. Let dry and any “sticking” should disappear. Depending on your location, this process should be performed every 3-6 months.

Additional cans of our SKEET’R BEAT’R Spray Silicone are available from your Screen America Authorized Dealer.

Lubricating the Tracks

We recommend using a non-petroleum-based silicone to lubricate the track assembly.

With the vinyl in its up position, spray the section of track that the vinyl is retained in. Roll the vinyl down, then spray the edge where it contacts the track. Let dry and any “sticking” should disappear. Depending on your location, this process should be performed every 3-6 months.

Congratulations on the Purchase of Your Vinyl System!

After installation, you will receive a blue warranty registration card to be filled out by the dealer or yourself. It is important for this card to be returned to Screen America Corporation so that your unit’s information can be recorded and registered in our database.

Our standard warranty includes five years on the motor, one year on the balance of the electronics, and a limited lifetime warranty detailed on the warranty card.

Cleaning the Vinyl, Housing & Aluminum Track

To extend the life of your vinyl system, we recommend the following:

  1. Monthly (with normal use) apply a solution of water mixed with a non-abrasive liquid detergent (Dawn dish soap) using a soft cloth, to both the front and back of the vinyl.
  2. Rinse completely and dry with a soft cloth or chamois.
DO NOT SPRAY INSIDE THE MOTOR OR HOUSING UNIT
  3. Apply 303 Aerospace Protectant according to directions.

Contact your Screen America Authorized Dealer to see if they offer a maintenance program that suits your needs.

CAUTION

The vinyl system is not designed to protect interior areas in adverse windy conditions. If this situation arises, your vinyl system should be rolled up to protect it from damage.

Monthly (with normal use)

Follow the directions on the 303 Aerospace Protectant by applying a thin layer to both the front and back of the vinyl. Wipe completely dry with a soft cloth. (If streaking occurs, too much product has been applied and can be removed by using a damp towel and finishing with a dry, soft cloth). To increase the longevity, repellency, and bonding of the product, periodic buffing with a soft, dry cloth is recommended.

Additional cans of 303 Aerospace Protectant are available from your Screen America Authorized Dealer.
